benefitsFOCUS header

Starting next week, we are expanding the self-serve options available in the ADP Employee Portal to include reviewing your benefits elections and requesting changes to your benefits enrollments in conjunction with a mid-year Qualifying Life Event. Also, our vaccination clinics are well underway! ALL Albemarle County and Albemarle County Public Schools employees and public safety volunteers are eligible to participate with no out-of-pocket cost. Please read on to learn more about each of these announcements.

ADP Benefits: Employee Self-Serve Rollout Continues!

Next week, we’ll be activating the next phase of employee self-serve options in ADP. (Current self-serve options include viewing your pay statements, changing your federal and state withholding amounts, and updating your personal contact information.) Beginning Monday, October 17, our self-serve options will expand to include reviewing your benefits elections and requesting changes to your benefits enrollments (including adding/dropping medical/dental plans or adding/dropping covered dependents) in conjunction with a mid-year Qualifying Life Event (such as marriage, birth, divorce, or a change of employment status that impacts your access or the access of your spouse and/or dependents to medical/dental coverage).

Don’t forget! Our annual benefits Open Enrollment window will go live on Tuesday, November 1, and will run through Tuesday, November 15. You can find all things Open Enrollment on our Open Enrollment info site!

Onsite Flu + Vaccination Clinics Are Currently Underway!

We are halfway through the third of seven scheduled clinic weeks this year! As a reminder, all Albemarle County employees (including part-time, temporary, substitutes, interns, and student teachers) and public safety volunteers (Fire Rescue, Police, Sheriff’s Office) are eligible to receive flu and other vaccinations with no out-of-pocket cost, even if you are not covered on the County health plan. In addition to the flu shot (both regular and high dose), other vaccinations will be available, including:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella)
  • Shingrix (Shingles)
  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis)
  • Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 Bivalent Boosters (brand dependent on availability on day of clinic)

Remember to bring your government-issued ID, health insurance card, and—if you wish to receive a COVID-19 booster—proof of your previous COVID-19 vaccinations. To speed up the process, we encourage you to complete the Vaccine Consent Form in advance and bring it with you. (Consent forms will be available onsite as well.)
