Tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, November 2, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors will begin their 1:00 meeting by honoring all veterans employed by Albemarle County Public Schools and Local Government with a Resolution of Appreciation. All employees who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces are invited to attend.

Also, the County of Albemarle welcomes your attendance at the Veterans Day ceremony to be led by American Legion Post 74 on Friday, November 11, at 11 a.m. The event will be held in Lane Auditorium at the County Office Building located at 401 McIntire Road in Charlottesville.

Finally, on behalf of the Albemarle County Veterans Affinity Group, please see the linked information about the Ruck the Ridge veterans fundraising event happening this Saturday, November 5. Ruck the Ridge is offered by Living Free Together, a local veteran support organization, and seeks to bring together Charlottesville’s veteran, active duty, first responder, and civilian communities through a dual challenge event offering solo and team hiking challenges on Blue Ridge School’s biking trails.
