January Elementary DPLC Selections: Respond by Dec. 15

Attention Elementary Teachers: On Thursday, January 25, elementary classroom teachers will not meet in their regular grade-level groups. Instead, all elementary classroom teachers are invited to choose one of the following options and complete this form by Friday, December 15.

  • ELA (K-3): Reviewing VALLS new reporting features and determining instructional implications of data
  • ELA (4-5): Structuring small group/independent work
  • EL (K-5): Increasing student engagement through discourse
  • FLES (K-5): Increasing student engagement in language acquisition
  • Math (K-2): Leveraging process standards (reasoning, problem solving, representation, connections, communication) to promote mathematical mindsets in young learners
  • Math (3-5): Making the data meaningful through strategic reteaching and review embedded within 3rd quarter content
  • Science (K-5): Leveraging scientific and engineering practices to raise rigor in science instruction
  • Social Studies (K-5): Leveraging EL (English Learner) strategies to make rigorous inquiry-based learning accessible to ALL learners
