Attention All Regular (Non-Temporary) Employees: The Online Annual Training System (OATS) is ready to inform you of your rights and responsibilities as ACPS employees. This required annual training is online, interactive and comprehensive. There are two components: an OATS 2023-24 policy and best practices review, and a Safe Schools: Child Abuse: Mandatory Reporting training.
All regular (non-temporary) employees must complete the training by the end of this school year. To get started, log in to the Professional Learning Management System (PLMS) and visit the Courses tab. You’ll find both courses listed under My Courses > My Learning Opportunities. Click on the OATS course to complete the first portion of the training. Then, after you’ve finished the OATS component, return to the Courses tab and click on the Safe Schools course to complete the second and final component.
There are two quirks in the PLMS to be aware of:
- After clicking on the course title, the PLMS requires you to click the “View Again” button to participate.
- If you get a “Popup Blocked” error, click the “Launch Course” button.
A couple of notes:
- All employees should be provided the time and the technology to complete the training.
- Temporary employees have access to the training in the PLMS; however, temp employees are not required to complete the training.
