Board Meeting Highlights
Highlights from the most recent school board meeting on April 11, 2024, were featured in issue 19 of Insider Express. The next school board meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, at the County Office Building on McIntire Road. The April 25 meeting agenda, which includes budget adoption for the 2024-25 fiscal year, can be viewed in ElectronicSchoolBoard (ESB).
Engage With the Board
- Visit the School Board Members web page to learn more about our school board representatives.
- Attend school board meetings in person or virtually by video livestream.
- Sign up to provide public comment at a meeting. Online signup is available from 9 a.m. on the Monday before the meeting through 2 p.m. on the day of the meeting. You can also sign up in person by checking in with the School Board Clerk between 6 and 6:30 p.m. on the day of the meeting.
- Email the board at SchoolBoard@k12albemarle.org.

- Find materials presented to the board by clicking on the meeting date in the Agenda List in ESB, and then clicking on the agenda item of interest.

Virginia Education Update is a weekly newsletter from Dr. Coons, Superintendent of Public Instruction, that serves to communicate official information from the Virginia Department of Education to school divisions.
