2019 Drinking Water Clinic: Kick-Off Meeting May 20

Through the Virginia Household Water Quality Program, Virginia Cooperative Extension holds drinking water clinics across the state to provide people with private water systems access to affordable and confidential water testing, including help interpreting their water test results and information about possible treatment options.

Summer PD: Register for July Sessions by June 1

PD Opportunities Summer 2019

We have a range of professional development (PD) offerings and opportunities this summer. Similar to previous years, all teachers and administrators will participate in at least 6 hours of professional development over the course of the summer.

Summer PD sessions will run from July 8-18 at Jouett Middle School. Teachers who are unable to attend a session during the July days will attend sessions on August 16 at Henley Middle School. Teachers who have completed the PD requirement in July will not have to report to work on August 16. Continue reading

Spring 2019 Bulky Waste Amnesty Days: May 4, 11 & 18

2019-20 Technology Purchasing Decisions

At the end of the 2017-18 school year, LEAD made a decision to issue similar computers to teachers and students. This decision was made so teachers could better anticipate the experiences their students would have when working on similar computers. A combination of factors, including rising costs, hardware changes, and teacher feedback prompted LEAD to review the technology provided to teachers and students as a part of the ACPS Digital Learning Initiative.
