Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology: Licensure Renewal Announcement

Virginia Department of Health ProfessionsAttention all Speech-Language Pathologists: It’s time to renew your license! All Virginia Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licenses will expire on December 31, 2017. Emails have been sent to all license holders. PLEASE NOTE: No paper notices will be mailed this year, and all renewals MUST be completed online. Get more information about renewal »

Virginia law requires a valid SLP license to be “in hand” prior to returning to work in January 2018. Any attempt to renew licenses using a Local Education Agency (LEA) purchase order or other group payment may result in delays of the renewal process and should be discussed with Board of Audiology and SLP staff in advance.

A second reminder email will be sent on December 12 to licensees who have not renewed. Renewing early will help ensure that you receive your renewed license by the end of the year.

TO RENEW A LICENSE ONLINE and pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card, go to www.license.dhp.virginia.gov. (SLPs who have not previously established a User ID and Password, or need to re-create them, should select New User and enter the 10-digit license number and PIN as shown in the personalized renewal email.)

Questions or concerns about the renewal process? Please contact the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology by telephone at (804) 367-4444 or by email at CallCenter@dhp.virginia.gov.
