Teachers: Due to changes in the way that Promethean licenses their products, the interactive whiteboard software ActivInspire will not be included on our instructional laptop computer image for the 2018-19 school year.
Despite this change, all teachers and students who routinely use a Promethean ActivBoard for instructional purposes will be able to use ActivInspire on their laptops. Continue reading

All staff members using a Windows-based computer will need to have their computer updated by their Client Services Specialist (CSS) prior to the start of next school year.
Teachers: You have the option of scheduling time with your CSS to have your computer updated before the new school year begins, or you may turn in your computer for the summer and have it returned to you during pre-service week. The Virginia Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (VASCD) is accepting session proposals for its 2018 Annual Conference, which will be held November 29 and 30 in Williamsburg. This year’s theme, “Beyond Measure,” focuses on students’ ability to solve real-world problems, think deeply and flexibly, and drive their own growth. The National Education Association (NEA) Foundation offers two grant opportunities for educators: Student Achievement Grants and Learning & Leadership Grants. Three grant deadlines are established annually: February 1, June 1, and October 15. Two levels of funding are available: $2,000 and $5,000.
