1. As you are aware, your Virginia teaching license must be renewed every five years. Current Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) regulations require all teachers to complete 4-6 mandatory training requirements each time they renew their license. This is recent change. Fostering Support of Mathematics Learning in Multilingual Classrooms | Deadline: Nov. 30
A grant of up to $4,000 will be awarded to a PreK-12 school for in-service to increase understanding and expertise in fostering support of multi-language development when teaching mathematics.

Co:Writer UniversalAll ACPS educators and students now have access to a powerful accessibility tool called Co:Writer, which is designed to help learners of all ages have word prediction to support all aspects of the curriculum. Co:Writer is both a Chrome internet browser extension and desktop app that provides on-demand word prediction as well as audio representation of those words. The Making Connections for Equity and Access professional development day will take place Monday, November 6, at multiple school sites throughout the division. NEA Foundation Grants – Next Deadline: February 1

The NEA FoundationThe National Education Association (NEA) Foundation offers two grant opportunities for educators: Student Achievement Grants and Learning & Leadership Grants. Three grant deadlines are established annually: February 1, June 1, and October 15. Two levels of funding are available: $2,000 and $5,000.
