ACPS Is Transitioning to a New Intranet on Oct. 6

In support of the creation of the new ACPS Human Resources (HR) Department, and also to enhance security, the Department of Technology is modernizing the platform used to house internal staff resources. Resources from the current HR site hosted by Albemarle County Local Government and resources from the current ACPS intranet are moving to a new shared home beginning this Thursday, October 6.

This transition applies to all users currently accessing HR documents, the Superintendent’s Advisory Bulletin (SAB), many Department of Technology application support sites, testing coordinator resources, and many other protected staff resources through the existing sites. You may hear or see the intranet referred to as “SharePoint,” which is the technology being used to manage the site and shared resources.

What will you notice?

  • A new URL to access the updated intranet: https://k12albemarle.sharepoint.com
  • Cosmetic changes to pages and resources
  • Content may be in a different location and require a different set of clicks.
  • You should be prompted to log in to the new intranet site.
    • Use your usual ACPS credentials to log in.
