Samsung Invites Public Schools to Compete in $2 Million Solve for Tomorrow Contest – Enter by October 31!

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow LogoYour school can win a share of $2 million in technology & prizes! This fall, Samsung is giving public schools nationwide the opportunity to discover the power of technology. Samsung and its partners are asking teachers (grades 6-12) to participate in its annual Solve for Tomorrow Contest to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education, a key academic challenge in our country. With Samsung and schools joining together, we can foster student interest in these subjects and illustrate the power of applying that knowledge to practical, real-world issues. Enter by October 31!

By filling out the application, you will be entered in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow contest. Up to 255 teachers will be chosen to create their vision for this program, and then 51 teachers will be chosen to have their classes create videos addressing the challenge, “Show how STEM can be applied to help your local community.” All 51 chosen teachers will receive a video creation kit to help complete the task. These 51 teachers’ schools will win an estimate of $20,000 in technology grants. The top 15 videos will be voted on by consumers, select Samsung employees, and a panel of education experts. Five National Finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony to celebrate with education thought leaders and celebrity supporters. Samsung is asking teachers to answer the challenge, “Show how STEM can be applied to help improve your local community.”
