County Coat Drive Extended Through Feb. 7!

County Coat DriveTime to clean out your coat closet! Do you have gently used coats, jackets, fleeces or sweatshirts that you’d be willing to donate? Well, throw them in a bag and bring them to work for the County Coat Drive!

Through Friday, February 7, the County is collecting coats in good condition for donation to the Hinton Avenue Clothes Closet, the only free clothes closet in Charlottesville that provides clothing and basic household items to anyone who comes and signs in. Your donation will provide much needed warmth for our area’s disadvantaged and homeless children, women and men during these cold winter months. So c’mon, put those old coats to good use!

If you are able to drop off your donation at the County Office Building (401 McIntire Rd., Room 228), that would be greatly appreciated. If not, please contact Blake Abplanalp, Senior Project Manager in the Office of Facilities Development, and Blake will arrange for a pick up.
