Greenshades Survey: Please Participate by Dec. 20
Key leaders in Albemarle County Local Government and Public Schools are partnering with County Information Technology Departments to strengthen our organization’s defenses against cyber liability attacks. Phishing scams attempt to gain access to employee email and Greenshades accounts where employees can access their payroll information. In order to help strengthen our system defenses against these attacks, Greenshades permits users to enable two-factor authentication.

Timecard Approval & Known Issues for 12-Month Employees
As a reminder, every Monday, all employees need to log in to their Kronos account to approve last week’s timecard. However, last week’s half-day holiday produced a glitch in the system that we are still working to resolve:
If you are a 12-month Non-Exempt employee who worked for any amount of time on Wednesday, November 27, please do NOT approve your timecard until Kronos accurately reflects your time. If you have already approved your timecard for last week and your time is incorrect, please log in to Kronos using the Kronos Dashboard shortcut on your computer’s desktop, open the Previous Pay Period, and select Remove Timecard Approval from the Approve Timecard drop-down menu. Important Message Concerning Greenshades Email Notifications
Albemarle County Payroll is in the process of updating our payroll system (Great Plains) to ensure that all email addresses in the system are work email addresses. This update also will cause all personal email addresses in Greenshades (our online portal for employee paystubs, HR documents, and more) to revert to work email addresses. We expect to complete this process by November 23. This update will only impact users who linked a personal email address to their Greenshades account and will not affect Greenshades user names and passwords. Continue reading
