Important Information Regarding 2014 W-2s and 2015 W-4s

w2-w4-IRS-FormsAs you merrily prepare for the holidays, Payroll is planning for the distribution of 2014 W-2s. We want to provide you with important information regarding W-2s and W-4s.

W-2 (Annual Wage and Tax Statement)
Your 2014 W-2 Form will be electronically available on or before Tuesday, January 13, 2015. You may recall that this service was made available in January of this year for the 2013 W-2 Form. The same electronic method will be used. An email will be sent when the 2014 W-2s are ready with instructions on how to access and view it. These included requests for further guidance in regard to salary increase projections, medical plan recommendations, and leave benefit issues arising out of the implementation of the new VRS Hybrid retirement plan. New Process: Bereavement Notification

Bereavement Flower ArrangementThe new Bereavement Notification page has launched! The Human Resources Department will send flowers in memory of a regular County employee’s immediate family member, defined by policy as the employee’s spouse or the employee’s or spouse’s child, parent, sibling, or grandparent.

Notification/requests can be submitted 24 hours/day from any location (login required) by any employee who learns of a death in a County employee’s family. Continue reading

Onsite Flu Clinics Begin October 13 and Continue Through Mid-November

My flu shot fought hungerATTENTION ALL EMPLOYEES (including temporary, substitutes, interns, and student teachers): You are eligible to receive a flu vaccination with no out of pocket cost, even if you are not covered on the County insurance plan!

BeWell Albemarle is partnering with Giant Pharmacy to bring flu vaccinations to over 50 school and local government sites. Employees may go to any County site to get the flu vaccination. Find out more and view the schedule »
