You may have noticed that the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) has redesigned their website. The new VDOE website, including a new ChildCareVA site, launched on December 13 and includes an intuitive, modern navigation that aims to provide easy access to information and resources on dozens of topics. The redesign also incorporates a variety of features to enhance communication between the VDOE, schools, childcare providers, parents, and the general public.

Mental Health First Aid Training Opportunity on Jan. 10

Interested in supporting students who are experiencing mental health challenges? Consider signing up for Albemarle County Public Schools’ Mental Health First Aid training, open to all staff. Right now, there are 14 seats still available in our next course coming up on Tuesday, January 10. You can register online through the Professional Learning Management System (PLMS). HR Weekly Update: New Anthem Cards for 2023

If you are participating in our medical or dental plans in 2023, you should have received new Anthem enrollment cards in the mail for you and any covered dependents at the end of December. Updated cards were necessary due to service enhancements that we made for 2023. Important note: The new cards have updated ID information, and you will need to present this new information when you visit your health care providers, hospitals, pharmacies, etc. Failure to use the new cards will result in rejected claims, so please be sure to update your providers. Product Team Interest Form: Respond by Jan. 13

ACPS Educators: The Department of Instruction and Content Advisory Teams have identified projects that the division will develop in order to advance our curriculum, assessment and instruction in alignment with the Strategic Plan. The range of projects is diverse, from drafting curriculum frameworks to developing assessments to vetting potential curricular resources.
