The Shannon Foundation wants to help teachers and schools implement their best ideas for achieving excellence in the classroom. The Foundation offers Level 1 grants up to $750 to classroom teachers, individually or in teams, for projects that support original and innovative student activities. Level 2 grants up to $5,000 are offered to school teams, led by a coordinating teacher or building administrator, for creative projects that enhance student learning across age and grade levels. 2020 Tax Form W-4 Information From Payroll

The 2020 Tax Form W-4 (Employee’s Withholding Certificate) is very different from previous versions. This is due to the federal tax law changes that took place in 2018. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is not requiring all employees to complete the revised form and has designed the withholding tables so that they will work with both the new and prior year forms. All Buddy Camp: Student Volunteer Opportunity

Robin and Mani’s All Buddy Camp is beginning to recruit sophomores, juniors and seniors for their one-week summer camp program that pairs teen Big Buddies with preschool students with disabilities (Little Buddies). This is a unique, fun and exciting opportunity for students interested in making a difference in the lives of children and families. Also, the Buddy Program experience often is an excellent way to fulfill community service hours and explore career interests.

An application process is required. Interested students in grades 10-12 should visit the Big Buddy Information web page to learn about volunteer requirements and to apply. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020.

Teacher Transfer Requests for 2020-2021

Teacher Transfer Requests are now open to all tenured teachers desiring consideration for new assignments for the 2020-2021 school year. Teachers who are on a Performance Improvement Plan or who will be on an active improvement plan for the upcoming school year are not eligible to apply for a transfer. All other teachers are welcome to apply for jobs online as vacancies become available. Continue reading
