HR Weekly Update: Have You Completed Your Open Enrollment Session in ADP?

Including today, there are six days remaining before our Open Enrollment window closes on Tuesday, November 15. So far, more than 1,500 ACPS employees have successfully completed their Open Enrollment session in ADP! That means, nearly 970 of you have not yet done this.

As a reminder, ALL benefits-eligible staff are required to log in to ADP and either enroll in or decline benefits for next year. Please do not wait until the last few days of Open Enrollment to complete this requirement. Logging in now, while there are still several days remaining, is the best way to ensure that you have time to ask questions and get any answers you need as you consider changes, or get the help you need if you run into technical issues. Open Enrollment: Get to Know Your Disability Benefit Options

This is the last of our Get To Know Your Benefits messages for the November 2022 Open Enrollment window, which closes on November 15. The final message in our series will focus on Disability Coverage.

No one plans to get sick or injured, but it happens, and a serious illness or injury can result in months of disability that keeps you from working and exhausts your paid leave balances. While medical insurance helps cover your medical bills, it doesn’t help you meet financial obligations like rent/mortgage and utility bills, and it doesn’t help you buy food and other necessities. Empowering Our Multilingual Learners in All Classrooms

The ESOL Office is pleased to offer an ongoing series of professional development sessions to teachers who are looking to improve equitable opportunities for emergent multilinguals in their classrooms. These sessions, offered via Zoom with an in-person option, are now available for registration in the PLMS: Empowering Our Multilingual Learners in All Classrooms. Participants are encouraged to sign up and attend as many or as few of the sessions as they are able!

This fall, we hosted several community conversations in which we invited students, employees, and advisory groups to share ideas for improving teaching and learning in our schools.
