We are excited to announce the start of our annual We Notice program! This is an opportunity to recognize a colleague whose work you would like to celebrate. This recognition can be given to any employee who works in our schools, such as teachers, office staff, building service team members, teaching assistants, cafeteria workers, school nurses, and bus drivers.

8th Annual WinterSongs Benefit Concert – Feb. 26

Saturday, February 26, 2022 | 1 p.m. | Livestream

The 8th annual WinterSongs benefit concert, which raises money for the Shelter for Help in Emergency, will be performed via livestream this Saturday, February 26, beginning at 1 p.m. Joining the Burley Bearettes Treble Chorus this Saturday will be vocalists from Albemarle High School’s Advanced Women’s Ensemble; Monticello High School’s Women’s Chorus, No Fella A Capella; and The Knightengales from Charlottesville High School. Due to COVID-19 health concerns, the concert will be performed live from Monticello High School and broadcast to the public via livestream. Continue reading

Digital Citizenship Night – Nov. 16

The session will cover digital citizenship and healthy media habits.

Registration is ongoing for Making Connections: Learning for All, which will be held this Friday, October 29. Sessions are filling up fast and we have added seats to our most popular sessions.

Registration is now open for Making Connections: Learning for All, which will be held Friday, October 29. Flu+ Vaccine Clinics Now Underway

All Albemarle County employees (including part-time, temporary, substitutes, interns, and student teachers) and all public safety volunteers (Fire Rescue, Police, Sheriff’s Office) are eligible to receive flu and other vaccinations with no out-of-pocket cost, even if you are not covered on the County health plan.
