Each year, all ACPS employees are required to participate in a review of important policies and procedures. It is imperative that all employees complete this training by January 31, 2023. The 2022-23 Online Annual Training (OATS) is now live in our Professional Learning Management System (PLMS). Remember: When logging in to the PLMS, use your ACPS user name and password (the same credentials you use to sign in to your Outlook email). The OATS course has been assigned to every employee. Reminder: Change Your Password by Oct. 14!

The Department of Technology will require all staff and students in grades 3-12 to change their password on or before October 14, 2022. Staff and students who have not changed their password since June 8 will be prompted to do so this Friday. You can manage your ACPS password through our Self Password Reset portal. If you experience technical issues or need assistance, please contact the Service Desk during normal business hours at 434-975-9444.

When I became Superintendent of Schools in 2018, my first order of business was a Listening Tour. I met with hundreds of employees and students across our division to understand how I could best support you in your work, not just in providing resources, but in helping to create a climate that allowed you to prosper and grow as a professional.

If you read my Weekly Check-in on Friday, you know that one of the most important parts of my week, every week, are my visits to one of our schools or departments. These visits are today’s Listening Tours, providing me with the chance to learn from many of you about how the school division can support you and, especially, how I can support you in the important work you are doing. Employee Engagement Survey Closes Today!

As we previously announced, the ACPS Department of Human Resources has partnered with Gallup, a global analytics and advice firm, to help us better understand and measure our employee engagement. On Monday, April 25, all non-temporary employees received an email directly from Gallup containing a unique link to participate in Gallup’s Q12 Employee Engagement Survey. Today, May 9, is the last day to participate in the survey.

In alignment with the school division’s Anti-Racism Policy, Superintendent Haas and the Albemarle County School Board asked all employees to complete the ACPS Anti-Racism Policy Orientation. The orientation takes approximately 45 minutes to complete and includes a verification form at the end that will confirm the completion of all activities. During the fall, we reached an 89% completion rate. With your support, we are hoping to reach 100% by Friday, April 1, 2022. Continue reading

Have You Completed the Transition Pay Options Acknowledgement Form?

Attention All Employees: If you have not yet completed the Transition Pay Options Acknowledgement Form, please do so by this Friday, December 3. This form will ask you to accept or decline a one-time pay advance available to all regular part-time and full-time employees. The advance, which will equal 80 hours of pay, will be distributed on January 31 and will need to be repaid by June 30, 2022. (Note: This one-time pay advance is related to our move to biweekly pay and is different from the one-time payment approved by the school board that will be added automatically to the December paychecks of all regular employees.)
