We are excited to announce that licensed teacher and administrator contracts for the 2020-2021 school year will be sent to you electronically this year! Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to innovate!

Contracts for licensed teachers and administrators will be sent to your ACPS work email address. They will be sent from “ACPS Contracts” (acpscontracts@albemarle.org) on Friday, June 12, after the School Board approves reappointments Thursday evening. Continue reading

Michael will review recent licensure modifications passed by the Virginia General Assembly (see below). These modifications address the hands-on aspect of CPR for renewal and initial licensure and the status of provisional licenses and renewable licenses that expire June 30, 2020. Annual Leave Overflow Process Update

With the disruptions to personal and work schedules related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we realize that many employees are not in the position to use annual leave at this time in order to avoid losing leave above the 320-hour maximum accrual cap set in Policy GCC, Leave Program. Effective immediately, we are temporarily disabling the conversion of annual leave at/above 320 hours that normally occurs at the end of an employee’s birth month, allowing those with birthdays in March, April, and onward extra time to use overflow annual leave. They may indicate that they are “official” County vendors and have Human Resources Department approval to present information about their products to staff.
