Teacher Transfer Requests for the 2024-25 School Year

Teacher Transfer Requests are now open to tenured teachers who wish to be considered for a new school assignment for the 2024-25 school year and will close on March 1, 2024.

Requests for transfers can be submitted using the Teacher Transfer Request Form. You may select up to three schools to transfer to. Human Resources will send your transfer request information to your current principal as well as to your requested schools. In addition to completing this form, you must apply online for job vacancies at your requested school(s) in order to be eligible for consideration. Unless otherwise noted, you must apply for a position within the first three (3) days of its posting for priority consideration. You are welcome to apply online for as many positions as you wish; however, guaranteed screenings are limited to the three schools you select on the request form. Other principals may screen at their discretion.

ACPS Educators: The Department of Instruction and Content Advisory Teams have identified projects that the division will develop in order to advance our curriculum, assessment and instruction in alignment with the Strategic Plan. The range of projects is diverse, from drafting curriculum frameworks to developing assessments to vetting potential curricular resources.

We are now looking for teachers across every discipline to work with a product team to develop these projects. If you are interested in participating in any of the projects, please review project information and descriptions and complete the CAT Product Team Interest Form by Wednesday, February 28. We Notice

Our annual We Notice recognition program is accepting nominations through Tuesday, February 20! We Notice provides an opportunity for you to recognize a colleague whose work you would like to celebrate. This recognition can be given to any ACPS employee, such as teachers, teaching assistants, office staff, Building Services team members, cafeteria workers, school nurses, and bus drivers.

ACPS is now accepting applications for the 2024-25 school year for Novice Teacher Instructional Coach and Instructional Coach positions. Internal and external candidates (including former ACPS instructional coaches) are welcome to apply for one or both positions. Instructional coaching experience is preferred for the Novice Teacher Instructional Coach position, and a micro-credential or certification in culturally responsive teaching is preferred for both positions. The spring semester of Rosetta Stone is now open for enrollment for any interested ACPS staff! This online language course allows participants to participate independently and at their own pace. Most educators choose to learn Spanish, but other languages are available in the program. Click here to register through the Professional Learning Management System (PLMS).
