Have you taken 5 minutes to complete our 2024 Employee Engagement Survey? On Monday, March 4, all non-temporary employees received an email directly from Gallup containing a unique link to participate in Gallup’s Q12 Employee Engagement Survey. We are asking all employees to complete the survey by Friday, March 22. We’re aiming for a 100% participation rate! The Department of Technology is seeking facilitators for this summer’s ACPS Coding Camp. ACPS Coding Camp is a coding academy that provides Albemarle County Public Schools elementary and middle school students with opportunities for creativity, innovation and fun.
ACPS Coding Camp provides the perfect opportunity to practice integrating our Computer Science and Digital Learning Integration Standards of Learning in a low-risk environment. Facilitators who participate in required professional development days and at least one session of ACPS Coding Camp will receive fair compensation and 20 recertification points. Continue reading
ACPS Educators: The Shannon Foundation is now accepting grant applications from Charlottesville City and Albemarle County public school teachers for imaginative, innovative, student-centered projects for the 2024-25 school year. Elementary & Middle School Teachers: As we prepare to deploy Lexia in schools, the company is offering two in-person professional learning opportunities for ACPS educators. Lexia will offer in-person training this Thursday, March 7, and on Friday, March 29. The in-person training is not required, but it offers a chance to ask questions and receive Lexia’s traditional online training in a more personal way. As we shared last week, our 2024 Employee Engagement Survey opens today! Again this year, Albemarle County Public Schools has partnered with Gallup, a global analytics and advice firm, to help us better understand and measure our employee engagement. Today, all non-temporary employees will receive an email directly from Gallup <support@mail.gallup.com> containing a link to participate in their Q12 Employee Engagement Survey. The subject line of the survey invitation will read, “[EXTERNAL]Albemarle County Public Schools Employee Engagement Survey,” and the email will contain a unique survey link that will take you to the secure Gallup website where you can take the survey confidentially. This brief survey should take less than five minutes of your time, and we ask that you participate by Friday, March 22. Continue reading
