As a follow-up to the November 17 email message from Assistant Superintendent Clare Keiser, please remember to complete the Transition Pay Options Acknowledgement Form by Friday, December 3. All employees are required to complete this form to either accept or decline the one-time pay advance that will be distributed on January 31. Please note: This one-time pay advance is related to our move to biweekly pay and is different from the one-time payment approved by the school board earlier this month, which will be added automatically to the December paychecks of all regular employees. Update on Sept. 15 Vaccination/Testing Requirements; Complete Staff Vaccination Status Form by Sept. 3

As a reminder, the Albemarle County School Board recently approved a resolution that requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by September 15, 2021, or to show proof each week of a negative COVID-19 test result. In the resolution, the school board noted that the COVID-19 case incidence rate in Albemarle County is increasing, largely driven by the presence of the Delta variant, and health data confirms that over 90% of current cases are among unvaccinated people.

By Friday, September 3, all ACPS employees are required to complete an online Staff Vaccination Status Form. You can access this brief form directly at vaccine.k12albemarle.org (ACPS login required). Every employee should enter their current vaccination status information into this form by tomorrow, September 3, regardless of vaccination status. Don’t Forget to Complete the Required COVID-19 Safety Training by Sept. 8!

Important

In compliance with state code and in partnership with the Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH) Program, ACPS has developed a two-part COVID-19 Safety Training for employees. As a reminder, every ACPS employee, regardless of position, should complete this training by Tuesday, September 8 (the first day of school).

Step 1 involves watching a 22-minute training video. Step 2 (the final step) asks employees to certify that they have watched the training video by completing a brief form. Continue reading

Required COVID-19 Safety Training – Complete by Sept. 8

In compliance with State Code §16VAC25-60-220, Emergency Temporary Standard for COVID-19 Infectious Disease Prevention, Albemarle County Public Schools is requiring ALL STAFF to complete COVID-19 Employee Safety Training. As we continue the Return to School plan, it is important that all employees are aware of how to stay safe at school and work. Employees should complete Steps 1 and 2 by Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
