Staff calendars for the 2023-24 school year are now published on the Time and Attendance Documentation web page (under “Employees” or “Timekeepers”). Please use the published work calendars for guidance on your schedule rather than what you see on your future timecard, as timecards do not always show holidays and non-workdays until the actual work week. Product Team Interest Form: Respond by May 31

ACPS Educators: The Department of Instruction and Content Advisory Teams have identified projects that the division will develop in order to advance our curriculum, assessment and instruction in alignment with the Strategic Plan. The range of projects is diverse, from drafting curriculum frameworks to developing assessments to vetting potential curricular resources.

We are now looking for teachers across every discipline to work with a product team to develop these projects. Interested? Please review project information, descriptions, and compensation and complete the CAT Product Team Interest Form by Wednesday, May 31, if you are interested in participating in any of the projects. As of yesterday afternoon, ACPS employees have donated $1,200 in support of Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, a local nonprofit that exists to provide food assistance to families and individuals in need in Charlottesville and surrounding communities. Calendar Planning Survey

ACPS has started its annual calendar development process earlier than usual with a plan to approve a two-year calendar for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years by this fall.

To help with our planning, the Calendar Committee would like to gather some initial feedback from you on such ideas as an earlier start to the school year, a shorter Winter Break, and an earlier Spring Break. We’re also interested in your thoughts about the timing of teacher workdays and professional learning days and the appropriate number of instructional days for students.
