Our annual We Notice recognition program is accepting nominations through Tuesday, February 20! We Notice provides an opportunity for you to recognize a colleague whose work you would like to celebrate. This recognition can be given to any ACPS employee, such as teachers, teaching assistants, office staff, Building Services team members, cafeteria workers, school nurses, and bus drivers.

Nominations will be accepted from students, employees, parents/guardians, and community members through Tuesday, February 20:

I am excited to announce the startup of quarterly All-Welcome Meetings, an important initiative aimed at fostering continuous learning, transparency, and collaboration within our school system. These gatherings will provide a unique platform for all employees to engage directly with the superintendent and executive staff, gaining insights into the latest developments, initiatives, and future plans of the school system.

You’re invited! Woodbrook Elementary School will host their 10th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Walk on Monday, January 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students, families, and community members are welcome to come to the Woodbrook track and walk for a cause of their choosing. CATEC’s fresh Thanksgiving menu features traditional recipes crafted by our Culinary Arts students and chefs to make your holiday meal special! Preorder your menu items by Thursday, November 16, and be prepared to pick up your order between 12 and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21.

Thanksgiving Menu

  • Whole Turkey Breast
  • Sides: Baked Four Cheese Mac & Cheese, Traditional Green Beans, Sweet Potato Casserole, Housemade Turkey Gravy, and Traditional Stuffing

2023 ACPS Vaccination Clinic Schedule

Serve the Community - Give the Gift of Immunity

BeWell Albemarle is happy to announce that ACPS and Giant have partnered again this year to bring important vaccinations to 50 locations throughout Albemarle County. All ACPS employees (including part-time, temporary, substitutes, interns, and student teachers) are eligible to receive flu and other vaccinations with no out-of-pocket cost, even if you do not participate in the school division’s health insurance plans.

On-site vaccination clinics are scheduled to start this Thursday, September 28, and will continue into mid-November. You are welcome to attend any clinic held at any location listed on the schedule. Continue reading →
