Next week, Monday, November 7 – Friday, November 11, is Solidarity Week. This is a national student-led program hosted by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), an organization started by teachers in 1990. Among the organization’s priorities is generating support for the Safe Schools Improvement Act, which requires any school division that receives Elementary and Secondary Act federal funding to prohibit bullying and harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), disability, and religion. Next Info Session for JMU’s Educational Leadership Programs Will Be Held Nov. 2

James Madison University (JMU) is pleased to host an informational meeting for its Educational Leadership programs, including master’s and certificate options, on Wednesday, November 2, at 5 p.m. via Zoom. Calling All Veterans

Tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, November 2, the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors will begin their 1:00 meeting by honoring all veterans employed by Albemarle County Public Schools and Local Government with a Resolution of Appreciation. All employees who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces are invited to attend.

Also, the County of Albemarle welcomes your attendance at the Veterans Day ceremony to be led by American Legion Post 74 on Friday, November 11, at 11 a.m. Continue reading →

Open Enrollment in ADP — It’s ACTIVE!

Your benefits Open Enrollment window (November 1-15) is active NOW! Any changes you make to your medical/dental/Flexible Spending Account/Health Savings Account elections during the Open Enrollment window will go into effect January 1, 2023, and will run through December 31, 2023.

All benefits-eligible employees are REQUIRED to complete an Open Enrollment session by logging in to ADP and electing or waiving certain benefits (like medical/dental insurance). Getting started is EASY! Continue reading →
