Implementing the 2023 Math Standards of Learning in the 2024-25 School Year

Elementary Teachers & Secondary Math Teachers: Product teams will work this summer to realign our pacing guides and curriculum frameworks for fully implementing the 2023 Math SOLs. For a quick look at the standards you will be teaching, visit the VDOE’s 2023 Mathematics Standards of Learning page and review the “Understanding the Standards” column of the “2024 Mathematics Standards of Learning” table. We will spend time unpacking new curriculum frameworks and pacing guides during pre-service week. Continue reading

Pay Increases for Fiscal Year 2024-25

As we announced in an April 29 news release, the 2024-25 Budget Development process resulted in a 3% pay increase for all regular employees on the classified pay scales and a similar step increase for employees on the teacher and bus driver pay scales, effective July 1.

12-Month Employees

For 12-month employees, the pay rate increase is effective on July 1, so it will appear beginning on your July 19 paycheck (for time worked June 29 – July 12). Continue reading
