School Board Will Hold Public Hearing on 2021-22 Budget on March 4; Division Proposes Increase in Teacher Raises

The School Board will hold a public hearing next Thursday, March 4, on the school division’s proposed funding request for next school year. The hearing will be accessible to the public via live stream beginning at 6:30 p.m. Those wishing to speak at the hearing can register online from 9 a.m. on Monday until 12 noon on the day of the hearing. ACPS Digital Learning Summit: Feb. 15-26

Digital Learning Summit 2021

Join members of the ACPS Learning Technology team for the first annual Digital Learning Summit, going on now through February 26. Each day, participants will receive short “minute-to-master-it” videos and longer prerecorded sessions that cover a range of themes, such as media literacy; online engagement; effective screencasting; Minecraft for virtual/blended learning spaces; and SEL resources for teachers and students from ACPS counselors. School Board Approves a Move to Stage 4 Beginning March 15

Moments ago, the School Board approved the superintendent’s recommendation that the school division progress to Stage 4 of our Return to School plan; however, the start date for that move will occur on March 15 rather than March 1.

In an effort to prioritize messaging around inclement weather this evening, the school division will widely announce this information to our school families and the community tomorrow morning via email, phone, text, social media, and a news release. Continue reading
