Extension of COVID-19 Leave Bank

With the expiration of the Families First Coronavirus Relief Act (FFCRA) Emergency Paid Sick Leave (EPSL) and Expanded FMLA (EFMLA) on September 30, 2021, Albemarle County Public Schools created a program called COVID Leave Bank, equivalent to 10 days of leave for all regular employees, effective October 1, 2021, and set to expire January 31, 2022. This program has been extended through April 30, 2022, for continued usage by employees who have not exhausted the 10 days of leave. Continue reading

First Paycheck on Our Positive Pay System Incoming!

Tomorrow, Friday, January 21, all ACPS employees will receive their first paycheck on our new biweekly schedule. This check will include pay for all hours worked from January 1-14, 2022.

You can review your paystub in our new payroll processing system, ADP. Paystubs were available for viewing beginning at noon today, but direct deposits will not be available until January 21. Continue reading

Register for ADP by Friday (& Other Payroll Clarity Project Updates)

If you have not yet registered for ADP, please do so by this Friday, January 14. As a reminder, ADP is our new payroll system that is being implemented this month. Last week, you were sent an email from County_of_Albemarle.HR@adp.com containing a unique-to-you registration code that you will need to provide to create your account with ADP. Remember to Approve Your Timecard by the End of the Day!

As a reminder, employee approval of timecards now needs to take place at the end of the last workday of each week. That means that you need to approve this week’s timecard today! (In case you missed this update, please reference the Coming Changes to Kronos post from December 17, which includes a short and informative screencast for each employee group.)

When approving your timecard, please make sure that Current Schedule Period is selected from the drop-down menu in the top-right corner (or Current Pay Period, if using the mobile app). The date range you need to approve time for this week is Sat 1/01 through Fri 1/07. Continue reading

Changes Coming to Kronos

As we prepare for the upcoming winter break, we are also looking ahead to the new year, and with the new year comes our transition to positive pay through the Payroll Clarity Project. This transition brings with it a few slight changes in Kronos. The two most important changes apply to Kronos entries and the timecard approval timeline. Update: Annual Leave Overages

We previously announced that we temporarily disabled the conversion of annual leave at or above 320 hours that normally occurs at the end of an employee’s birth month through December 31, 2021. Due to the difficulty 12-month employees may have had in taking time off this past year, we will be extending this suspension again through August 31, 2022. Continue reading
